#have you ever thought about how rare it is for cas to find that someone is happy to see him? #like #98% of angels see him and want to kill him #as a human he found that people would rather look away from the gas station attendant in the unwashed clothes rather than nod hello #and it’s not like dean and sam are ever waiting by the door so eager to see his face #at the best of times he gets a ‘heya cas’ and a pat on the shoulder #at the worst of times he gets an angel blade against his throat #he never gets smiles or i’ve-missed-yous or i’m-so-happy-you’re-heres #but here is someone who is actually genuinely enthusiastically happy to see him #and cas responds to that enthusiasm with all the sudden unabashed pleasure of the kid who’s always chosen last finally being picked to be on someone’s team #castiel is happy because someone is happy to see him (via outpastthemoat)
